Tag based file association possible?
« on: October 19, 2014, 04:10:36 am »

Since JRiver now has a WDM Driver I thought it would be easy to make it 3D capable by introducing a custom library field "3D" which contains "SBS", "OU", or nothing. If the field contains something / is not empty, an external programm should be opened. After some search in the programm and the forum I couldn't work out how to do this.
Is it possible? How? If not, what are the alternatives?

3d blurays should have a different file type than 2d ones.  And you can already configure the 3d type separately.

3D blurays are actual disks, isos and framepacked 3d mkv, right? What about sbs or ou mp4 or mkv files?

What about sbs or ou mp4 or mkv files?

We don't detect 3d versions of those files.  Could you help us figure out a way to detect 3d?

My plan was to write the information to a tag based on the filename "[moviename]-3d-sbs.mkv". But if you would actually consider adding code for detection, I could try to write something. If I get something to work, what's prefered? C++ code, compiled dll, ...?

We're all C++, but we're just mostly looking for the idea.
