The current ape encoder version is 3.94, the input ape is 3.92b2.
So new encoded files will not be played by the older ape input plugin.
But there is no choice of download versions.

Please do provide the fitting versions on plugin pages.

There will no longer be a Media Jukebox 7.xx APE plugin.

You can either:

-upgrade to Media Jukebox 8.xx and get the latest and greatest APE support

OR

-install the APE Winamp 2.xx plugin in Media Jukebox 7.xx (the tagging will be a little less cool, but playback will work)

Hopefully this isn't too big of a deal... it didn't seem worth it to maintain two versions of the APE plugin for MJ.

Take care.

Oh - sorry Matt:
I forgot to remark, that I had switched to MJ8 just before apeŽing.
If you try to grip ape in and out from MJ site, you get the two different versions.

The latest APE plugin is installed with Media Jukebox 8. (it's included in the package)

So, re-install MJ 8 and you should be good to go.

The plugin on the webpage is only for MJ 7.xx

Thanks.

Thanks Matt, works fine.
One question is left: For what the hell is "ape/settings/quality", I think ape is a lossless encoder???

It's actually size vs. time with lossless instead of quality vs. time

Later.
