Bug: Blu-ray Audio Streams error with DTS MA HD
« on: November 04, 2014, 03:13:49 pm »

Playing Blu-rays in 20.0.30.  Right click to pull up BD menu.  Click Streams.  It has all the available audio streams listed.  But, everything with DTS MA-HD is shown as 5.1 48k, even if the disk has 7.1 or 96k or 192k.  I have some BD-A disks with 2 DTS MA-HD streams - 5.1 192k and 7.1 96k.  They are both shown as 5.1 48k.

Actual playback is correct.  Audio Path indicates correct number of channels and correct sampling rate.   dtsdecoder.dll is loaded correctly.

No similar problems so far with LPCM or Dolby THD streams on any disk.

I had first noticed this in MC 19.

This is a known limitation, and unfortunately unlikely to be fixed anytime soon since MC does not include a native DTS HD MA decoder.

Might it be possible for the Analyzer to update the channels field? It seems to use the external DTS decoder.
