I have an HDMI port of my computer connected to my Processor. This is how I was used to play music and see what’s playing on my monitor.  Later I bought Bel Canto uLink (USB to Digital Converter) which also outputs the signal to my processes. Switching from HDMI to Bel was for minimizing the Getter and it does make a difference, but there is a cost.
I have several DTS, DD audio DVD’s in multi-Channel that I ripped using DVD extractor, I cannot play these multi-channel track anymore because Bel Canto does not support more than two channels. So either I have to convert them into Stereo or keep switching back and forth between USB and HDMI.
Question is: is there a way to tell JRiver if the signal is stereo use Bel Canto ASIO driver and if the signal is six channel use HDMI output? Since both are plugged in and both have signal.

On our wiki, there is a topic called Zone Switch.  It might work for you.

Yes, you want to create two Zones and use ZoneSwitch as recommended by Jim. Here is a thread on ZoneSwitch that you might find helpful, too:

NEW: ZoneSwitch

I attached the configuration for Zone Switch, can someone please confirm this will work or how to make it work. All I want is that 2 channel should go to Bel Canto and 6 channel music should go to HDMI.

That looks like it should work fine; is it not working for you?

That's very odd.  Those rules should work.  Two thoughts:

1) Try these rules and tell me if you get a different result:

For the 2 channel zone, use your current rule (i.e. "[Channels]=2")
For the 6 channel zone, try "-[Channels]=2"

Let me know if that produces a different result.

2) Check on the tags of the multichannel files you're playing; is their "Channels" tag 6?  Sometimes DD or DTS files have unusual or unexpected channel counts, especially when they've been altered/reencoded.

I will try tonight, in the mean while, is their a reset command which should reset/clear all zone and then choose the right zone?

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.  You can just select the zone you want in the upper left hand corner of the tree (under the now playing menu)

My feeling is that once my processor gets the signal from HDMI, It's having a difficulty switching back to digital. (I am not sure, it's an assumption). Before switching from 6 Channel zone to 2 Channel Zone, If I could send disable/clear command for both zones or interfaces so processor see's no signal from either interface HDMI and from Digital and than switch to 2 Channel zone pushing signal on Digital may resolve the issue.

For the 6 channel zone, try "-[Channels]=2"

No this command did change any thing. From Channels 6 is flawless but from 6 Channels to 2 does not work. I have to power off my processor to switch it back.

Can some one please help me, my problem is not resolved.
I was able to create two different zone, in which I can switch from 2 channel zone 6 channel with no problem. But I connot switch back for six channel zone to 2 channel. I tried [channel]=2 , I tried -[channels]=2,  I tried [channels]=>2. Only way to switch back is to power off my processor and power it back on.

if you look at the channel field for a track that should be 6 channels, what does it say? You should be able to see it in the tag action window.

I know it should be 6, but might as well check just to be safe.

Secondly: are you able to switch back manually to the 6 channel zone without the zone switch rule? If not what error are you getting. I suspect that this is the issue. I would make sure you have the latest drivers for that ATI/AMD card which I believe includes the HDMI audio driver. I occasionally see an issue with my Denon AVR that if the TV is off, my NVidia audio won't work unless I pull out and reinsert the HDMI jack. Only happens once in a while for me though.

I checked Channels is 6 for DVD Audio. Switching to 6 Channel is not my problem. Switching from 6 Channel to 2 channel is an issue. I checked the driver version it is current. I cannot switch manually either.

Ok so if you can't switch manually, the issue isn't with the zone switching. It is with the audio device.

What kind of error message do you get when you try to manually switch back to 2 channel?

No errors, it just does not switch. On the processor it still shows 6 Channel or HDMI is input. On the display I see the music playing on the screen but no sound.

I think the processor is going to stay the same even if the 2 channel worked. I just indicates what signal it last received.

For the other device, make sure you have the latest driver. It sounds like a hardware/driver issue, so you may have to work with their tech support to find out why it stops responding.

Its not that the computer or the driver stops responding. (For me stop responding mean is " a process or something crashed" but that's not true. I can continues to play in six channel all the music in 6 channel Zone. It just does not switch to 2 channel zone. Also is there a JRivre Log which could tell me what's happening, when is switch from one zone to other?
