MC on Mac v20.0.40 library connection
« on: January 12, 2015, 06:12:04 am »

I have recently installed MC on Mac and have experienced the following problems on a regular basis:
1- Application freezes and necessitates a Force Quit and relaunch
2- Unable to connect to My Library files even though the application is pointing to My Library. I close and relaunch, I Library Manage several times and no joy. Then it works, sometime in part ie. If I have 10 folders, it will successfully connect to 7  and not the other 3.
Do you do support whereby you take over the laptop to check what settings I have etc...?
Any help is appreciated.

If you haven't try the most recent version, please do:

The "freeze" you see may just be lack of response at the OS level.  Let it run.

I have upgraded to latest Mac version but my main problem of not being able to play my files in My Library persist even though I am pointing at My Library. I see all the files (tracks) but a no entry sign against them all. I presume this means the app cannot access my NAS even though everything seems connected OK. Any ideas what options I can investigate?
PS. I had the Microsoft license and did not experience this.

Hover over a file and you will see the location.  Check the location to see if the file exists.

You can also find the location in the tag.

Can you see the files in Finder?
What is the full path name of one of the files in question?
I assume the NAS drive was mounted under /Volumes when you imported the files and now perhaps that drive isn't mounted or is mounted under a different name?
