Default Library View within Media Containers
« on: March 18, 2015, 08:30:28 pm »

Didn't want to epic dig this version 19 post, but anyone have an answer or resolution to this?

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=91253.0

to summarize: how can we set a default library view to display upon clicking a media type (i.e. click Video, load Clips view). It does not load the last selected view either, devs any thoughts?

Not correct.

It certainly does remember the previously used child Media View, when the parent view has Settings > Tree > Allow Tree Selection: Unchecked, as the default top level views do.

One thing to note, like all other Media View management details, if you are doing this in a client/server setup, then you have to "set" this on the Server.  Clients will remember their own last-used view only until they are shut down.  When re-launched, they'll revert to however the server is set.

Same applies to Theater Views, by the way.

EDIT: Proofy-ness.

PS. Remember that if you don't get a good answer, it is always okay to bump your thread after a day or two. It could be, like in this case, that no one who knew (or was motivated enough to answer) saw the question.
