Hi guys, just spent a good while reading various threads in and around this subject, and have gotten myself throughly confused. Not hard. some who know me would say.
I'm keen to extend my usage of MC out into a user friendly media network player, SONOS like, environment. I've got plenty up and running now, server, a couple of HTPCs, DLNA media players, and JRemote on an ipad, playing via bluetooth speakers in a couple of rooms. But what i'd really like is headless network media players, that I can control remotely. I could of course buy a couple of JRiver Id's, but $395 a unit is not affordable for me at the mo.......
But I do have an old, currently unused Raspberry P1, sitting in a drawer that I've never really been able to do much with. Loved the concept, never really got to grips with the techie stuff. Anyhow, it seems from what I've been reading that various people have made progress getting MC to run on and, in conjunction with Raspberrys.
Is it possible now, or likely in the near future, that there will be a easy to install build for a P1 to allow it to work as a network media player, audio only?
Cheers, Paul
