WASAPI, where did mine go ? OR WAS happen to my WASAPI ??
« on: April 17, 2015, 11:42:49 pm »

I had the option to pick a OPPO WASAPI or OPPO ASIO, now WASAPI is gone, any ideas ?

When I looked all of a sudden it was on Direct, and the WASAPI option is gone. So I put it on ASIO now.

I did upgrade to version .93 ?

Or is there some setting that would cause this ?

Thanks

Try rebooting.

If that doesn't work, then check:

My guess would be that your drivers got busted somehow.

WEll it's back, don't know why but it is.

Still confused about the real practical difference that you can hear between WASAPI and ASIO ?

there is NO audible difference.  ASIO has the benefit of hardware latency control (on some devices with certain drivers) and a few other things, but most of the ASIO benefits are for advanced or unusual situations.  for regular music listening under normal circumstances, WASAPI is bit-identical to ASIO
