Hello. I have problem with enabling autorotation of pictures according to EXIF in both situations:

1) Pictures from library
2) Pictures streamed over DLNA (for example from Android - Local Cast)

Can you provide me any hint for this situation? Thank you in advance. Marek

Do they look right in MC?  You can rotate them there.

Do you have pictures that show properly in Explorer but show rotated in MC?

If so, please provide a sample to matt at jriver dot com.

If they show rotated in both, that just means the rotation tag isn't set in the EXIF.

Thanks.

All required information are in attachment. Windows Explorer shows picture with right orientatiom, MC20 with wrong orientation. Original picture file is also in attachment of the post.

PS: Due to attachment size limitation it was necessary to lower resolution of original image in attachment.

I sent this by email, but I'll post it here as well:

That picture is rotated correctly in MC for me.

Double-check that you're using the latest build (20.0.100).  We recently made a fix for handling images that have two rotation tags in them.

Thanks,
-Matt

Also, you might need to right-click and do Update Library (from tags) on the file.

Thank you for your answer but it seems that problem is more complex:
  • When I place the image on local computer and I load Main Library focused to local folder with testing image, orientation is OK.
  • When I am using the same image located on NAS an I load Library focused to NAS over DLNA, orientation of image is wrong.

It seems that problem with auto rotating is limited to pictures loaded over DLNA.

PS: I am using last version 20.0.100

I think this will be fixed in a coming build.
