Web Media
« on: February 14, 2003, 07:32:27 am »

I am having problems connecting to radio stations via the Web Media pick. I have downloaded the latest Windows Media Player and Real Player (making sure that they are not defaults). Each time I select a station I get a message that the player cannot be detected. I can go to the station's web page, for example, BBC News, and it connects immediatly to the correct player.

Any suggestions? I am running MS XP Pro and have broadband, cable, access.

If you mean WMP9 than that could be it (tons of posts on this...do a search). You need to roll it back to the stock (WMPXP) version that came with XP. RealPlayer v8 was last version before RealOne, so you should be OK there.

Tonight's MC build should support WMP9 formats.
