Loud popping when music starts and when it ends

Hi!
I love MC, and I'm trying out the Internal Volume setting.  However, since starting this feature, I get a loud popping sound when music starts and also when it stops.  Any ideas on what could be causing this?  Thanks!

my setup is pretty simple:

Latest MC20(Win8.1) -> DOP -> Schiit Loki -> Amp

It's coming from the DAC.  Try the audio option in MC called Play Leading Silence.  Or try forcing everything to the same bitrate and sample rate in DSP Options/Output Settings.  Try Schiit's support.
