JRiver tagging and upgrade questions

I've been using JRiver as my player on my computer for a long time now.  I've still been using WMC for my HTPC since I needed to record copy-protected content.  My question is why can I have everything set up and working/looking great in JRiver, but the tagging dosen't carry over when I play music on my HTPC?  Do they use different set up for tagging?  Not a big deal but I was always curious.

Also, I'm stil on MC13 and was going to upgrade to MC20.  When I go to help, update I have an option to purchase upgrade the upgrade for $26.98 but it says it is for MC17.  Even thoug it says MC17, will I get a license MC20?  I'm thinking of using MC20 for music on my HTPC and WMC for my recordings still.  Thanks

You just need to download and install MC20, then purchase the upgrade.
