I've tried a few times to select parts of lists, or entire lists so I can paste them into other programs like text or spreadsheets or things like that.  I've read that simply selecting and doing Edit > Copy should select all visible columns and paste them.  Instead, what I seem to always get is just the full file name with path.  Even if that's not a visible column.

Maybe this is specific to Mac?  Or maybe I'm missing a setting or technique.

It might be a Mac thing.  It certainly works on Windows when you paste into Excel.  I'll test later.

Hi.  I believe the CSV style copy and paste no longer works on the Mac version like it used to, and like it does on Windows.

This definitely works on Windows, but I don't know if this feature has made it over to Mac yet.  Did it ever work for you on Mac?

^ No, copying columns never worked for me on MC for Mac.  I just tried it with MC21 to see if it was any different.  Seems to be the same.   On some programs that I try to paste to, nothing happens at all.  On other programs, like Text Edit, it pastes *just* the filenames of the files I have selected.

Just for fun, I just tried to paste into an Open Office spreadsheet document.  Same behavior as Text Edit:  Just filenames.

This isn't really a big deal for me at all.  If I REALLY want the info, I can work around it, by selecting what I want and then Export Playlist and choosing CSV.  It's a lot more work (comparatively), but it can be done.

If I was doing this all the time, I'd really want this feature.  As it is, it's just a curiosity for me.  I'm not sure how many other Mac users want to use this feature.

No.  It used to work in MC18.  I use the copy and paste.

Then it should be fixed again. I like that feature a lot for a variety of uses. I typically do it from my Windows copies (which is why I didn't notice), but... If it worked on MC18 for Mac, then something must have broken at some point.
