Song cut short
« on: June 26, 2015, 02:13:37 pm »

I've noticed that on certain songs/tracks with a quiet ending, MC20 cuts it slightly short with an abrupt ending. I thought at first that it was a poor rip but I played it back in VLC with no such issue.

Any thoughts on settings that could be causing it?

Hmmm, Jim should know the software better than me, but I thought this was controlled by the setting under:

Tools > Options > Audio > Track Change > Do Not Play Silence (leading and trailing)

That is turned on by default and I found that it cut out all the silence and a *bit* of the tail end of music as well, so I disabled it a while back.

Yes indeed, that fixes it. But perhaps Jim will try and enable "Do not play silence" without severing even a faint audio signal?

Many thanks for the "work-around"!

Not "Jim" I don't think, but yes, that's the deal.
