For the longest time I couldn't figure out why certain artists and albums always re-synced to the pono-player even though they haven't changed and I finally spotted it - every one has some accented character either in artist, album, or song name (may affect other fields as well.) Please fix, it makes the sync process so much slower, especially with all the Café del Mar I've got on there!

Thanks

We're not able to reproduce this.  Would you be willing to share a log file or export your library and attach it here so we can get a better idea of what's going on?

Can do when I get home. What is the best way to share those artifacts with you?

I noticed that the filenames themselves have the accented characters.  Example library entry below.  Let me know if that is the issue or if you need the log / full library data

Thanks for the info!  Getting closer, though I still can't reproduce it.  I believe the issue comes between the two subtly different 'ö' characters.  There is one type of 'ö' in the filename and another in the artist name and they're not being interpreted as the same.  Would you mind backing up your library and sending the zip as well as sending one of the files that isn't working?  Maybe the Hyperballad one.  Thanks!

It's adam at jriver dot com.  Thanks.

I've sent you the library and one of the guilty songs.

Any update?  Did your team figure things out from my emailed data?
