21.0.4 (9/2/2015)

1. Changed: Sorting ignores diacriticals instead of sorting them special.
2. Changed: The ICY metadata reader interprets the data it gets as UTF-8 instead of ANSI (will make some international stations appear more correctly).
3. NEW: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B for "Previously played TV channel".
4. Fixed: Auto matching of channels to xmltv IDs in the new mc2xml TV guide method did not work.

2. Fixed: After a few hours of running the 3d visualization tunnel would reach the destination and stop (only maybe fixed so testing appreciated).

21.0.2 (8/5/2015)

1. Changed: Reworked television device change handling.  Hopefully this will fix the "no tuner available" error on some systems after waking up from sleep.
2. Changed: mc2xml option is moved to the top of EPG mode selection page in Television Setup wizard.
3. Fixed: The "Click here for more information about mc2xml" link in Television Setup wizard was a dead link.
4. Fixed: Updated the licensing for version 21 (internal change).

21.0.1 (8/4/2015)

1. NEW: Added the sample rates 705600 and 768000 to the Output Format dialog.

3. NEW: Added an image playback mode 'Display images using a 2D renderer' to the options of Images.  Will use a 2D space for rendering instead of a 3D space.  Mostly for Linux / Mac, but please test.

BUG: (with Red October Standard)...
Signal Strength is broken; it always shows 50 for all channels regardless of Quality.

Signal Strength is broken; it shows minus numbers such as -8000, -9000, etc.

It's now showing the minus numbers for signal strength for both RO Standard & HD.  The first two times I went from Standard to HD & back signal strength went from the minus number back to the fixed 50.  The third time both Standard & HD are showing the minus numbers.

the postcode validation seems rather aggressive

I don't use TV in jriver and have never configured it but now it won't let me leave the options screen without setting a post code. Steps to trigger it

- open options screen
- type "jump" into search bar (was looking for "jump on play (audio)")
- go to theatre view pane, change "jump on play (audio)" setting
- click ok
- get dialog saying "enter a postcode"

presumably typing jump has "loaded" the tv pane and triggered that validation and nothing except cancelling "unloads" that validation, this is more clearly shown by

- open options screen
- click TV pane
- click ok, asks for postcode
- click any other pane
- click ok, still asks for postcode even though you haven't changed anything on the TV pane and there is no postcode field on screen

actually now there's nothing I can do to clear this dialog, if I open the options screen and click ok then it asks for a postcode. It seems that it remembers I had an error on the TV pane so takes me straight back there and hence I cannot escape, it wants my postcode no matter what!

On a general note, it doesn't tell me I have to enter a space for a valid postcode and it doesn't highlight the postcode field so it's not obvious what I need to fix.

Works absolutely beautifully 

It ran automatically on my setup & matched all my channels accurately.

Another great fix from the "great fixers at JR".

This one goes a loooong way towards improving TV Setup.

When using the default standard views such as Audio>Artists, if you edit the selection of columns in the details pane with Artists selected in the tree, then using tree browsing select an artists in the tree you will notice it is not the same selection of columns but if you now edit this selection and go back to Artists in the tree you will see it has reset the previous changes. This leads to a frustrating infinite loop of editing one selection resetting the other.

In the audio theater view the background freezes on the image when it shows the image that matches the album art of the song being played. The background image will not change to another image unless you exit theater mode and return to theater mode. Will there be a fix for this in future updates?

Hi,
yesterday I tried to play back an AIFF stereo file with 32 bit float content with 21.0.4.
It was encoded with JRiver 20 latest version.
The noise in my speakers where horrible, it has nothing to do with music contend - just loud noise.
The same workflow in .wav 32 bit float works very well.

I just reinstated this, because I figured the program might have become corrupted, owing to the fact that videos gave an error message, 'Something went wrong with playback' .. I'm STILL getting that mesage.. Audio plays fine, but video is not so good.. What could be causing this? I've even restored a previous 'save', with no improvement..

Build 21.0.4 doesn't appear to restore settings from library backups.
 
I was doing two clean installs of Windows 10 and found that if I used 21.04 the library would be restored but not any settings.
 
Reverting to 21.0.3 allowed the settings to be restored from the backups-phew!

This is the sort of bug that gives end users blood pressure (where are all my dsp settings and zones...aaargh!)

I have been able to reproduce the same issue. For now, there is a workaround that may help to resolve this issue.  First, make the changes to the column displays like you normally would. Once you're finished, right click on the column bar (as if you were going to change the display) and select Presets -> Save. This time, when you go into the tree view on the left hand side to edit the column view, load the preset you just saved instead of making the changes directly to the column display.

Hopefully this works for now,
