If you think it is still useful I can report these in separate threads. The following bugs were last reported in build in 161 (in separate threads to which there were no responses) and are still present in build 164.  

Streaming Problems:

1. When playing http://www.otrnow.com/tunein/otrnowlive.wax and hitting the stop button I get a "Program Error" dialog saying "Media Jukebox.e.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows." and MC crashes.

2. Attempting to play certain streaming web audio, e.g. NDR 2 pops up the full screen interface when playing. Reconnecting from the main screen by hitting play does not cause this problem.  

3. When playing an MP3 source of streaming audio from a playlist that provides trackname information as to what is playing, e.g. http://24.150.182.248:8080/~~~stream~~~.mp3 the name of the station on the playlist will be changed to the name of the most recent track played from whatever the user had named the station on the playlist.

Media Server Problems:

4. Bringing up what would be a display of video file thumbnails results in the server trying to transfer all of the entire video files themselves to the remote PC. This makes it impossible to play any video files from within a group of files (i.e. from the group of all video files) on the server using a remote PC because the transfers would take forever to complete for all the files. Shouldn't the thumbnail image be created/pulled by Media Server and only that smaller image sent to the Remote PC? From the Media Server log, Media Server seems to do the same thing with picture files (although I may be reading the log incorrectly), which isn't great, but in that case at least the transfers can actually be completed.  

5. Attempting to play a single MPEG video file, i.e. from a group of one, results in three successive "Error" dialogs saying "DirectShow: Interface not registered" followed by a "Warning" dialog saying "Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files. Make sure that the path in the Media Jukebox library points to the right location."

Attempting to play a single AVI video file, i.e. from a group of one, results in three successive "Error" dialogs saying "DirectShow: Interface not registered" followed by a "Warning" dialog saying "Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files. Make sure that the path in the Media Jukebox library points to the right location."

7. Attempting to play a single quicktime file using a remote PC results in repeated attempts to read the quicktime file from Media Server (as evidenced by activity reported in the Media Server window) but the file never plays. Here is a sample of a portion of the log from Media Server:

Problems Playing Quicktime Video Files:

8. Audio when playing all quicktime movies and audio is echo-y and out of sync on a Win 2000 P3-733 (although these files play fine with the Quicktime standalone app and on a Win XP Athlon 2000+). If I escape out of the full screen mode used to play the movies, I return to the main Media Center window and the video stops, but the sound continues. The CPU power doesn't seem to be the problem here as CPU usage is minimal during playback. Given that the Quicktime standalone app works fine, I still consider this a bug, but if none of the other beta testers has encountered this, perhaps not one that affects many users. It's significant for me, but if you want me to stop reporting it until after MC is "final" I can do so.

Playing video with Media Server may or may not work.  Some file types must be completely downloaded before playing.  MPEG2 is an exception.

If I escape out of the full screen mode used to play the movies, I return to the main Media Center window and the video stops, but the sound continues.

Click on the Playing Now button.

I suspect that I'm one of the few people who has tried to use Media Server to play video on a remote PC. I'm interpreting your response as an indicator that this really isn't supported at all.

If that's the case, for the release version, I'd suggest not allowing people to attempt this-- e.g. by popping up a dialog saying playing video remotely is not supported if it is attempted-- rather than letting them experience the cryptic errors and cashes I see.

That approach would certainly make the product look more polished.
