I can confirm the problem. To my surprise the on-screen keyboard menu box really doesn't show any text with The Fly. For instance, iCopy 9 doesn't have this problem. I tested this on XP.

Well, that's a bit bizarre!

htpc on the telly, running Windows 7, and the OSD works fine with the Fly there.

Why would something like that be OS dependent?

I guess the first question we need to answer is; is it something to do with the graphic, or the xml?
Is there any chance you could take the file "OSD_Background.png" from the iCopy9 folder and place it in The Fly's folder...
Does the OSD display work correctly now?

I can reproduce the problem when playing videos and when running a visualization (see the attachments.) Perhaps the problem has something to do with the amount of transparency and the used video renderer.

I wonder what XP is doing differently to Windows 7 in this regard. Very strange.
I'll see if I can see anything tomorrow as I'm out of time now. Testing will be tough without XP though

Last, but not least, The Fly gets a new tag window skin.

Download is via a Media Center package installer file which is attached to the first post. Simply download the file and double click to have MC download and apply the skin.
Package installer files only work on Windows. If using another OS, open the mjp file in a text editor, copy the download link and manually install the downloaded skin into your MC standard view skins folder.

Integrity checked xml vs filenames. Skin should now work correctly on Linux.
Added a Spotlight button.
Set the Spotlight page background colour.
Cleaned up the look of the inactive tabs. They are now much easier to read, and live with.
