Yellow tint video playback -- reloaded
« on: August 03, 2010, 04:23:18 pm »

Some time ago I've posted question about problem with video playback. Most videos were played with bright yellow tint.
Today I've reinstalled Windows XP and Media Center 15 on the same laptop. On quite clean system (drivers, Combined Community Codec Pack and Media Center 15) I got again this yellow tint when playing MPG and MP4 files. Media Center downloaded something when I tried to play this files first time.   Other  players (WMP11, MPC) don't have this problem. My other computer (netbook) also works OK.
Any suggestions?

What happens if you use the WMP engine to play the files in MC?

If that works, it is probably a DirectShow filter problem somewhere.

Did you try a google search for similar problems.  It sounds familiar but I don't remember the solution.

Yes it works. I can do some tests if You tell me what to check.

Yes I did. I sounds familiar because  I (among few others) was reporting this problem and there were no solution only some suggestion.
