Denon and Gizmo
« on: July 12, 2014, 06:21:33 am »

I have Denon Piccolo network music player. I have android tablet running Gizmo and JRiver in PC as a server. All my FLAC files are in the PC.

Now, how to bring the Denon inside the chain and how to control Denon using Gizmo.

Thankx

Just info:

The Denon is connected to Qacoustic speakers. So my aim is to receive FLAC wirelessly from PC. Gizmo in tablet should control Denon playback.

Wow, no reply.

1. At least tell if Gizmo converts the FLAC in my PC to mp3 or plays as FLAC ?
2. Can Gizmo control Denon network music player?

Conversion, if any, is set on the server.

Ok, so I set in Media Networks >Audio Conversions > Conversions:don't convert audio > Encoder:Uncompressed.

So, all audio played by Gizmo in my tablet are FLAC files as it is in my PC ? and not converted to MP3 ?

Can you tell pls.

It looks like the Denon Piccolo is a DLNA device.  If it shows up in Media Center in the tree view to the left, you should be able to control it from Gizmo.

To make sure it sends the original Flac to the device instead of MP3, go to [Options > Media Network > Add or configure DLNA servers] and change the Audio > Mode to "Original".
