Hi, I'm really confused so any help would be appreciated.

I imported some MP3s which I had incorrectly tagged in "MP3Tag"  - It was the artist field I had tagged wrong.

I went into MP3Tag and corrected the tags, and did Tools>Run Auto Import Now

Some of the MP3 were then correct in JRiver

However there are a few that seem funny - For example on one file - in the "main pane" that shows all my artists. There was a file that had the incorrect name still.   But strangely when I actually click and select it and look at the artist field it has the correct name.

I'm totally confused,

Ive been googling and searching the forum but cant find an answer I understand.

I saw a post about "Metadata - how to completely remove from library even when files are removed" - which mentioned a post about deleted files database and removing metadata by a user called Gaynor- but cant find that

Could anyone help?

Take a look at the Album Artist tag.

The member you mention here, who has written tons here, including lots in the Wiki and full instructional articles, goes by "Glynor".  You can probably look up his posts using his name.

It would be easier for us to try to help you with some specifics.  Maybe a couple of screen shots showing what you want to change, or what is inconsistent.
