Play Pause icon in Windowed/Full Screen mode still does not change state when video is playing to show the pause icon...Works in the normal player...

Not sure if this is already reported but I'm having trouble sorting columns by clicking on them.  1 or 2 will work and then no more.

1. Updating the properties of a RealVideo (.rm) file while playing a list of other .rm files does not work.  As soon as I close the properties window, the currently playing file advances to the next video file in the playlist. Playback continues as normal then, but the "Updating file 1 of 1" dialog box appears and never goes away until I close MediaCenter.

2. Updatiing the properties of a RealVideo file otherwise takes a very long time. I can hear from the speakers that MediaCenter plays the file being updated for a split second.  The whole process, from when the "Updating file 1 of 1" dialog appears to when it goes away takes about 3-5 seconds. So when I update many files at once, it takes a very long time to finish. I don't understand why the file must be played for a split second, since the only thing being updated is various fields stored in th MC library.

Bug when ripping or converting to mpc.

It doesnt work - rip or convert process freezes on the way, and I have to ctrl-alt-del MC away.

This bug was also present in version 123.

MC crashes for no apparent reason.

MC is running, without playing or doing anything.
When hitting the MC line in the status line in xp, MC crashes.

Hi All at JR
I also have the playback speed issue from the last two builds. For me I find it happens when the bit rate changes. ie if I paly a file thats =<128 and go to =<64 the playback seems halved and vice versa. Happens across formats mp3 to wma. the wma files I have are internet downloads as I never encode in this format.

Playlist creation issue:

I have a large playlist that I want to use to make a number of smaller "new" playlists from.

I highlight the desired files, right click and then select Send To/Playlist/Create. Once the new playlist is created, the playlist tree in the Organization pane closes and I must re-expand and locate my original playlist. If this is not a bug, it really is inconvenient.

Thanks.

1. Line in from LP/turntable.

Are you running the output from the turntable through a "phono" pre-amp and then into the line-in jack on the sound card? If not, you probably won't have a sufficient input level.

Quote
2. No
3. Far too many splits. 2500/2/20000.

If the input level is very low (and/or the recording volume is too low), you will get too many splits because the recorder interprets many sections of the music as silent gaps.
Try using the Auto volume adjustment button. Set the needle down on one of the louder sections of the LP and then press the Auto volume button. It will select an optimum volume that will give you sufficient signal strength without distortion. Some people think it's a little conservative so they like to manually bump it up a little (5%?) after it's done.
What are your settings for "Min gap between tracks", "Max gap level", and "Min track length"?

Quote

4. Correct. Had something like 75 fragmentary tracks - I left the recorder unattended for a while.

I don't know what would cause this, but maybe fixing the input level would take care of it.

I had my "recently imported" playlist just disappear. After closing and reloading it was still gone. It didn't reappear until I imported some new files, and it's 6 week history was gone (I don't have it empty after MC closes, I do it manually).

1. In MJ8 one was able to change the number of listed tracks in the TOP HITS Playlist by using an entry of the right mouse click context menu with the pointer hovering above TOP HITS. Now it only gives you FAVORITES. Has this been moved somewhere else or did you forget about  ;)?

2. I'm still missing MC using the correct "Display" definition of the CUSTOM 1-3 fields. Instead of what I wrote the (in OPTIONS) MC is still bothering me with CUSTOM 1-3  >:(?

So long

Hi.
I see a strange problem here with version 9.124 (dont know when this has started). Closing MC keeps the MC Icon in the tray, but I can no longer use MC (clicking on the tray icon doesn't work). I have to go to Windows Task Manager to hardstop the MC task (then the icon also disappears). Running on Windows XP SP1.

Anyone else have the same/similar problem?

Thanks
