Our wi-fi router in the JRiver office died last week. Based on recommendations in this thread:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=69203.0 we purchased a new Netgear N900 (WNDR4500) router. It seems fast and has some handy features. I have a slightly older model at home that's been extremely reliable for over a year, and others report similar reliability.
The router serves media on any attached USB drive via DLNA. Bob plugged in a USB stick with some mp3's on it and within seconds I was playing songs from it through Media Center. Then Jim pulled out his Android phone and connected to my Media Center through Gizmo and started playing music on his phone from the Netgear. Pretty cool and very easy.
We plugged our printer into it which used to connect to our LAN through Matt's computer. We did have to update the firmware first because the factory installed version didn't support the printer server.
