Pictures of My Garden Project (My Back Hurts)

The PVC Pipe Will Deliver Water and Support to Tomato Plants Using An Automated Watering System.

It is not Done Yet, around the 4 PVC pipes coming out of the ground will be a 4x4 slab. On top of that slab will be a raised bed garden.

You're going to have tomatoes to burn next summer.  You might need to open up a fruit stand.

My garden is all white.

What do you mean by a 4X4 slab? A cement slab with soil on top, or are you talking about using 4X4 lumber to contain the raised beds? Will there be one tomato plant per watering assembly? Will you water on a fixed schedule or using feedback from a soil moisture sensor?

Looks like an interesting project. I think I need to construct a geodesic solar heated dome over our garden and get to work.

Jim,

I'm quite impressed by the amount of snow your bird house was able to keep on its roof (it's taller than the birdhouse :D)

A 4 Foot by 4 Foot Slab, there will be 4 of them. The PVC pipe will come thru the slab.

On top of the slab I will place aprox a 3 foot by 3 foot x 12 inch square wood frame. Then fill that frame with sterilized top soil.

Weed block will be placed on top and fixed to the wood to keep weeds out (from blowing seeds)

Maybe later or next year I will have the slab bricked up maybe a foot.

I will be using a rain bird water gage sensor that I will take a part and imbed in the soil where it can sense the moisture and turn on the system when needed.

No 4, this way each Plant will have there own PVC pipe to tie them on

If I can figure out a way to get a web cam out there i will so everyone can watch them grow. I already created a VB program to take pictures and save them to my web site. I don't think you can do a 100 foot USB cable.

I did hook up a spy camera today (color with sound, 1 lux) works good but i can't hook it directly to the computer. it has a receiver that hooks to a rca video\audio in so thats hooked to my TV so i can watch them grow in my room i guess. maybe i should have bought a night vision camera but i wanted to see if this worked.

maybe next year I will get night vision, they make them water proof too.
