Sox and DLNA

I'm using MC22 with output via DLNA to a renderer via Ethernet.

How can  I use SOX in this setup?

Same here. JRMC22 to a PS Audio DSD Junior via its Bridge II.

The only SoX option I'm aware of is:

Tools | Options | Audio | Use SoX for resampling (experimental)

Thanks, but that doesn't help. When I choose DLNA all those options seem to be unavailable.

Yes.  You bypass all DSP if you use DLNA.

There are a separate set of DSP options for DLNA.

Tools > Options > Media Network > add or configure DLNA server > (select profile) > audio > advanced > DSP Studio

It's been discussed here as "DSP over DLNA".  It's not well tested.  I'm not at all sure that SOX could be used with it.

Really?  I will try it again.  Didn't work for me a while back.

Just looked at it.  DSP Studio is grayed out unless one chooses a fixed output format.

Which makes sense right? If you are sending "original format", then it's unaltered.  DSP Studio doesn't have an opportunity to engage.  Sending everything as PCM should work, and still produce maximum audio quality.

Sure, it makes sense now that it is explicit.  MC is amazing but much seems implicit and needs revelation.

Sox is a sample rate conversion algorithm right?  So it *should* work with this setup *if* you are changing sample rates via the DLNA DSP Studio, using Output Format.  ...and if you have the Sox option checked in the main audio options.

But Jim said above that DSP via DNLA may not work.  I don't use DLNA (much) and can't really test that.  Perhaps someone else that uses DLNA a lot can confirm whether or not sample rate conversion works with this combination.
