I believe if the feature is on MC just makes them as needed

Nope,

In foobar2000, if I tag an ISO (sacd) file, a XML file is created with the same name as the ISO, containing the tags.
This xml (I believe) is the sidecar file.
This way, I can keep the tags if I move them or if I change computer.
I thought it will be something like that in JRiver, with the audio sidecar option.

Open MC's Options > General section and under Importing & Tagging there's options for sidecars there. By default it looks like it'll create sidecars for files if internal tagging isn't supported but you can customize this and which media types to create sidecars for.

I'm afraid it's not possible to have a sidecar for sacd iso files.
I did try everything but just cant do it.
The feature I think a lot of us expect is to have the possibility (like in Foobar2000) for a SACD.ISO sidecar file with the tags (once iso files cant be tagged).
Foobar simply do it once you try to tag an iso file.

An ISO file would be a document file.

Did you check "Update tags when file info changes"?

I don't think Media Center supports sidecars for SACD ISO. It's been a long-requested feature.
I did just find out that Media Center can create sidecars for my MKA files though, which is nice.

We have added sidecar support for all four media types - video, audio, image, and data in MC24.  You need to choose which mode to use - "no sidecar", "sidecar if internal tagging is not available", "both sidecar and internal", "sidecar only".

Does it work for your other "Data" type files (txt for example)?

Ah that explains it - I did wonder if I had overlooked this before or if it was new in 24.

In that case, sidecars are not working for me with SACD ISO or DFF files.
SACD ISO is imported as File Type: SACD, Media Type: Audio, Media Sub Type: Music.

If I go to Documents and select :
Library Tools -> Update Tags (from library)

- I can get a xml file (sidecar) over a txt or a pdf file.
- I get nothing over a SACD ISO file

Bumping this up - I do not seem to be able to get a sidecar for .CUE based library reference WAV files.
