Since we sent two recent mailings about changing passwords, there has been some confusion about accounts. I'll try to summarize the situation here.
Forum AccountIn order to post on the forum, you need to
register. You may not have done this, and if not, you will not find any account here.
If you do have an account, just
log in to the forum, then click on Profile in the menu at the top, then on Account Settings. You can enter a new password at the bottom of that page.
If you can't remember your password, on the
login page, there is a "Forgot your Password?" link. If this doesn't work, just
register for a new account.
License AccountIf you purchased a JRiver license, you were asked to enter a password. This password and your e-mail address allows you to change your e-mail address. It isn't used for anything else. If you can't remember it, don't worry about it. You can enter a new password if you purchase again in the future.
We just added "Forgot your Password?" link as option #4 on the
Restore Page. If you click on it, you can ask our server to generate a new, temporary password. If it refuses, you don't have an account corresponding to that e-mail address.
To change your current password, use the "Forgot your Password?" functionality, which will let you enter a new password of your chosing.
Isn't this a little complicated? It is. I'm sorry. We hope to be able to combine these accounts in the future, so that there is only one login that works everywhere on the JRiver site.
Questions about your account? If you have read the above carefully, and you still have a question, please ask here.
Questions about installing and licensing? Please read
