Thanks Jim.
Purchased and installed
I haven't given it a proper run yet, but one thing that may be worth looking into regarding library import. While I was out yesterday, I was using Gizmo to stream music from my home server to my phone - not something I do often as there is plenty of music on the phone. I was playing a compilation album so all different artists.
Later, when I installed this app and imported the music on the phone (all stored on an SD card), it also imported the entirety of this compilation album despite the files not truly residing on the phone. I'm guessing it has included some data cached by Gizmo?
I only noticed this because the import of these particular files is somewhat incomplete - the tracks appear under the artist rather than 'Various Artists', there is no album in the Albums view, no artwork - all by-the-by really as I presume it is not supposed to import these temporary files?
One other observation (for now
), in the settings, when using 'Player', there is an option for Audio Device which is set to 'Select one' which seems to imply I need to select one of the options - which are 'Android Oboe [Android Oboe]' and '[Null Output]'. In practice, it doesn't seem to make any difference and even if I select one, next time it says 'Select one' again. On a cosmetic note, I presume the Android Oboe entry is JRiver's engine? If so, it might be nice to display it as such - I daresay most people won't even know what Android Oboe means (I didn't until I googled it
)
Thanks again
