I have been having problems on my Windows 10 machines(3). MC24 & now 25 keep shutting down on me. Here is a log that may help. Sure hope someone can clear up my problems. I suspect it's Windows 10's fault!!
The log is from the pc I use daily for music playback.

The dump isn't too helpful.

Could you send a second log so we could check if it crashes at the same spot?

MC 25 is shutting down when I'm doing different things. Today I was just looking at some photos while listening to music.
Seems to happen when doing nothing but playing music also. I have reset the log. I will resend a log when it happens again.
I will say i've been using JRiver MediaCenter since around 16 or 18. Never had shut downs till Windows 10(and not even then for quite a while).

Hey Matt. MC25 shutdown twice today. 1st time the log was to large to send. ( i started playing JRiver radio and poof). Now it shut down again playing one of my playlists. Attached is the log. I don't seem to be able to crash it on demand.

You may have a problem with your hardware or drivers or antivirus.  The current builds of MC are pretty stable.

Hi Jim I have shut downs on 3 pc's running Win 10. All run Kaspersky Anti Virus. This PC is the worst but I was ripping some cd's on another pc today and it became unresponsive during 1 rip. Then closed down. I didn't have logging activated on the machine. My laptop is the newest running an I7 processor and it too has crashed. The only thing the same on all machines is Kaspersky that I can think of. But I have been running MC since around 16 or 18 with Kaspersky most of that time with no problems. What do you suggest? I guess I can disconnect this pc from the internet and shutdown the anti virus to see if it helps.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Try uninstalling Kaspersky on the machine that you use most or is the worst.  If you're running Win10, Windows Defender should be configured.  There is a thread on Taming it here.

I was curious if you identified the culprit. I have been having this issue as well and cannot figure what is playing nice with JRiver.

Hi Steve. Well one sure fire way I found to make MediaCenter shut down was to upload photos from my Canon camera .I was using the WIN 10 photo program. So I stopped doing that. Been pretty stable since then.

Thank you for the response. Interesting. I am not using any type of Canon camera or Windows 10 photo programs. I think I'm just gonna live with for the next few weeks. I know I'm getting a new SSD for Christmas and I'll just do a fresh Windows install and hopefully things will work
