Why do I have to "Restore purchase code" so often?
« on: June 28, 2020, 06:34:06 am »

Have had version 26 for a while

Have a copy on my desktop and on a laptop.  The music files are stored on a NAS

Since getting ver 26, every now and then I am prompted to insert the product code again.  This is stored in a text file.
Then follows an email from buy-button@jriver.com telling me I have 7 restores remaining

Is there something I am doing incorrectly?

Thanks

Is your machine name changing?

Don't worry about it until  you run out of restores.  Then post here.

Use  your Install Key for 14 days without using a Restore.

If your PC machine name isn't changing, are you running any sort of Registry cleaner?

If so, it could be cleaning the licence record out of the Registry, I think.
