Error Message - Repeatedly
« on: December 16, 2021, 02:54:09 pm »

Hello...

After years of using JRiver Media Player - since version 16 or earlier I believe, I am suddenly having problems with it. For both installations (I have version 27 on one computer and version 27 on another) there are problems. One version just tells me that the files I'm trying to play don't exist (they do) and the other either loads the tune and then races to the end of the piece without a sound, or it makes a horrendous hissing/roaring noise (depending upon the volume setting). I have, apparently, a "Free" upgrade to version 28 (at least that's the message), having purchased a "Master" upgrade option at version 24. But when I attempt to upgrade the program I get a "Your license file is not valid for Media Center - Do you want to purchase an upgrade?" message. What gives?

Thank you.

Your Media Center 24 master license will only work with Media Center 24, not Media Center 28. Each major Media Center version is and requires its own upgrade.

Thank you.

When I’m running version 27 and it tells me there’s a free upgrade to version 28, and I install it and load the license no. it’s associated with, and get the same error message, if its not a hassle, can you tell me how to avoid that? I’ve tried to locate that particular problem in the Wiki but can’t find it.
