Amazon video integration sounds exciting. I dont see any public api docs so i guess its not possible, but if you were able to somehow import our purchased titles and make them look like regular video library items so we could tag them in our own way, that would be amazing.

30 is a big number, how about a UX request: Unified views? I spend a lot of time trying to keep my Standard View, Theater View, Media Network, and DLNA views in sync. Sometimes I will add a new view in Standard View and then realize later that it's not available on my remote devices because I forgot to add it to Theater View and/or the Media Network view. It's really annoying!

I can imagine a few different ways to accomplish this (checkbox trees), if there is interest I can (poorly) mock something up.

Customisable "Recently Imported" view. I use "Recently Import" all the time to do some taging.... but I change it to a List, add some columns then tag it up. These changes seem to stick for a couple of days then revert back to the default (which is irritating).

Hybrid smartlists. I'd like to be able to drag 'n drop or "send to" single tracks to some smartlists. To keep a smartlist a smartlist perhaps MC could append an OR and very specific filter rule (primary key?, filename?) pertaining to the track to the smartlist rules. I'm imagining an "Enable hybrid mode" option under "Expand links" in the smartlist title window so that this behaviour can be left disabled by default but enabled by the user for certain smartlists.

In the Podcast Feed Properties, Podcast Tag and File Renaming Rules dialog, could we get an entry for KEYWORDS? I have several podcasts that love to add tons of random topics, guest hosts, dates, etc., as keywords and they end up drowning out my libraries and other better managed podcast's keywords. Would love to be able to set these specific offenders to something simple or nothing at all to override their keyword smorgasbords. Thanks for the consideration.

I know, several times it has been asked and several times it has been said that it is not possible, but I want to request it once again: the only feature that would make MC truly complete, as far as I'm concerned, is the frame interpolation

I would like the 'share' functionality that was initiated a while ago to get some attention. It feels like this was a great thought that was never finished:

I need to be able to dictate http/https
I need to be able to dictate the FQDN that is supplied, vs an IP address
I need to be able to dictate the external port
Mainly: I want it to load Panel. Not produce an MPL file.

All of these mean that I can't use it at all. MC is not aware of my FQDN, nor is it aware of the external port that I have configured on my network.

First thing, I happily upgraded as I do every year because this project will always mean a lot to me.

My request would be to add smooth scrolling because when Scrolling through my library, it is not smooth, and it uses up to 25% of my Nvidia RTX 3080Ti and up to 20% of my Intel Core i9 9900k.Theater view scrolling is fantastic, however Standard view doesn't have to be so immersive, just smooth motion when scrolling. I would not mind using so much of my GPU and CPU if everything scrolled smoothly.

If it is interest from others, I would like to suggest better integration with SONOS move speakers. These are portables that turn on and off (battery powered) and obriously disconnect from time to time. Get them connected again can be a challenge. I have no problems with any other SONOS spearker.

The main issues with them (or at least I have never been able to solve)

1. Even when paired on the SONOS app, they show up individually (all other paired SONOS show up as one speaker)
2. They sometimes don't connect well to play (after they have been disconnected). They are both listed but one of them usually can't be played from

When they do connect by finding the one that works or restarting MC again, - they do play stereo together and everything is fine.

It would just be nice of the SONOS MOVE speakers were just a bit friendlier when working with MC.

Refine the logic used to trigger a view refresh so that when selecting a tab a refresh is only done when required. This would significantly improve perceived performance.

In JRVR OSD. Is it possible to get more info like how good the rendering is. In Madvr OSD displays two things I also like to have on JRVR since Madvr is dead now. Deviation and "framerepeat every ....."(should be at all times over 10 hours like amd manage). Deviation..lower the better.

Is this possible?

Inside DSP studio's Parametric Equalizer, PLEASE, please add the ability to import REW generated "generic" peak filters from the exported EQ text file by simply right clicking on any row in the editable window section or by inserting the option in the "Add..." button.

Afterwards, an option window to select which specific channel(s) (e.g. Left, Right, Center, Sub) should also pop up.

Of course, I could manually enter each PEQ entry per channel myself. But, if you have like 8 channels' worth of PEQs to enter by hand, it gets exhaustingly old pretty quick.

Please could you add the ability to bitstream Dolby Atmos AUDIO ONLY files. This is the biggest thing out there in audio right now and JRiver will not play (bitstream) Atmos audio files.

You can only bitstream Atmos Video content.

No need for decoding, or talk of decoding just simply to bitstream Atmos audio files. These are usually .mka or .m4a.

Please consider removing unnecessary media file access check. Especially with current energy prices I like to keep my main video server hibernating when not watching anything and it can take more than minute to get MC responding to anything when it probably tries to access file which is not currently available.

MC might hang for example when entering search box or when entering filter in the options or switching tab (probably refresh).

It was interesting to consider the possibility of streaming to Squeezebox or similar devices, such as piCorePlayer's Squeezelite player.

As is done for DLNA devices.

Please integrate a UI for the DSP into JRiver; BEQ designer noted and appreciated but this feels like a config utility as it is.

Rework limiter to allow more universal use cases - active x over driver protection - with adjustable threshold relative to 0dbfs. metering relative to limiter threshold per channel

the AV centric output channel fixed naming scheme can be frustrating and confusing for active audio applications - channel number and or assignable name would be good and flexible.

Not a new function, but I appreciate if the "Lookup Lyrics" function could also lookup sites like "Opera-Arias.com" or "aria-database.com." I mostly listen to classical music and it would be nice to be able to see quickly the lyrics for some popular opera arias.

as you say just that its a 3rd party app - requiring download, and install of another program - functionality wise no real difference. BEQ designer is great and appreciated!

Ability, using JRemote on, e.g., iPhone, to Divert current playback from a Media Center 'server' on a DLNA 'renderer' (Id Pi) to 'This Device' (the same handheld running JRemote) -- using JRemote on the same iPhone to do this.

In other words, Divert 'server' playback from rendering on an Id Pi (a configured Zone visible on the same 'server') to 'This Device' (the iPhone's JRemote, which is NOT* a configured Zone visible on the 'server') -- using JRemote on the same iPhone to do this.

*-Please correct me if I'm wrong, if there is a way to do this already.

When MC 29 is used as the default player for Windows (10), file explorer displays the file type as "media center file" for both file types. This makes it impossible to sort by file type in File Explorer which my work flow requires. If I use window media player as the default, the file types are correctly displayed. Effectively, this prevents me from using MC as the default player. If this is something that can be addressed in MC 30, that would be nice

Try setting which player owns the filetypes. You may have to set it MC, WMP, and Windows.

Play DVD Audio format

Hello, maybe this time it's possible for MC30 to add the following audio format (LPCM, MLP) used to play DVD-Audio. When playing a special DVD-Audio, you can then switch between normal DVD mode and DVD-Audio mode. Another thing that wouldn't be bad, like with the Super Audio CD, is that you can play a DVD-Audio ISO.

If this were possible and there was no copyright or special cost involved, it would be a great new feature in MC30.

As much as I appreciate @MattKhans work on BEQdesigner it still feels a bit like an interim stage until JRiver itself can display visually what has been entered into the PEQ. I have three pairs of active speakers, being able to quickly see the x-over/eq graphs when the filters are loaded would be a real improvement, not to mention a bit of a safety net.

I'd love to see a yearly subscription model that automatically renews and charges my card once a year that would get me all the upgrades of that year and that would also move me over to each major update each year. That way I wouldn't have to think about downloading the next version, having to log back in and enter all my card info and then finally the new license if I want to purchase a new major update.

Also, a family subscription would be nice. My wife and I both use JRiver and we both have multiple machines on which we run it. Sometimes I realize she gets behind by a year or more on updates. She doesn't need to update as frequently as I do but maybe a family discount of some sort would be helpful while allowing her to stay more up to date.

I'd really LOVE to see this implemented too. When Media Center is allowed to become the default for video, audio and/or jpg it doesn't distinguish between these different file types. This takeover affects makes those file types all take on the same icon and look the same when browsing and working inside Windows File Explorer. This lack of discernment makes it really confusing sometimes.
