So I've gone over to Sonos for playing music in a setting where it would difficult to hard-wire speakers.  The last time I updated JRiver was in 2018.

I'm really only using JRiver to stream images to my TV, and Sonos is using the JRiver media server.

I know I should upgrade just to support JRiver, but it is a pain and I have several computers running JRiver.  I may just pay the license fee and not bother to update.

My question:  Have their been improvements to the media server or with the components used for viewing photos?  Any reason, given my limited usage, to actually update?

The upgrade process has been improved in each of the last several builds.  It's pretty pain free.
