If I am playing from my media server which has the DLNA server (Audio mode configured as original) to my MC Client (Renderer) on my Workstation (USB output to rme ADI-2 DAC FS) and the client is a client of the Library server on my media server with access  key xxxxx ->everything works  :)

If I switch on my workstation to the main lib (local lib - no files) (Network enabled, Renderer enabled): no playback - you see the cover art for a second and then it stops.
Have I understood something wrong, that you can not play from a DLNA server to a main lib (local on a different computer)?

I don't quite understand your question, but if you have a library with no files, try importing a couple.

Playing from the server (is a physical server with the LIB and a DLNA server) to Client.DMS-MS (on Workstation computer) which is configured as a DLNA render er works.
Playing from the server to Main.Library (on Workstation computer) which is configured as a DLNA render does not work
both same DAC USB | ADI-2 DAC FS

Does that help?

Import a couple of files.

In Media Network settings on both computers, make sure all three parts of DLNA are activated.

First: Thank you very much for your help JimH!

But I think we have not understand us .-) I find DLNA Terminology sometimes difficult. .-)

I want to push audio/video from my server to a MC instance on a different computer, but the MC Instance (Renderer) should have not a copy of the Lib. If the client has a copy of the MC lib everythings works.

I have read In the Wiki: " If you want to use MC as the renderer, start the copy of MC that is running the renderer. Or turn on any device you want to use. "

Do I understand that correct, that I can not stream from the server to a client (Renderer) which does not have a copy of the Lib?

I don't know.  Try adding a few files so you don't have an empty library anywhere.  It's just a test to eliminate that as a possibility.  MC should be able to act as a Renderer no matter what the library is.

Imported my Diana Krall's Folder but it does not work. Whitebears tool reports: Play failed -> Time out/muted ( The Cover art appears for 1 sec and then it stops)

When you say "does not have a copy of the lib", do you mean "is not a client of the server"? aka it is an instance of MC with some local library

that works fine here

i.e.

have a library server running
open MC on another machine
change it to load local library
kill MC
make sure library server loses sight of it from the dynamic zone list
start MC client again
check library server can see it
play something to it from the server (using send to menu)

this is what you want to work right? if so, this works fine here

:) It works now! kill MC and MC server and start again was the trick.  (I only restarted MC and not MC Server (running in the background)
Thank you!
