« on: November 29, 2002, 03:58:32 am »

If i want to change tags
click on properties
I cannot change more than one colum at once;

If i want to change song number and year ,i cannot change both and update .
I have to change one ,click command -apply change .
And after change the next colum
Do i miss something somewhere?

You can make all your changes without hitting apply.  Tagging is automatic.  All changes are written when you switch to another track.

Agreed

However what he is saying he would like to retype the artist name, song name, album etc and make one save and not make 10 saves (one for each edited field).

I agree with Zevele on this one

Where is my protest sign from the 60's, must be around here somewhere.

PS: Inhaling VapoRub as we speak, I hope i live thru this.

Get a cold ? Take care

Yes ,it is what i mean .
To do like in MJ8
All Emusic -few thousand tracks- remove Blues in genre , put Emusic in comment and update.

Or to change year ,genre on one album and update.
As far as i see ,with MC9 ,you need to do one by one.
I do not like it ,i mean i really do not like it ,but i think that we will get a
"Which fonctions from 8 do you really miss" post  in few months  from JimH.
WE would be able to ask for this to be back.

King ,i use 9 since 2 days and i am like a  kid getting a wonderfull toy , i love it

Take care of your cold

Select the tracks you want and then go to properties by doing either:

Alt-Enter

or

Right Click/Properties.

You can change all your tracks to blues if you want.

The way I do this is to select the tracks and then right click -> edit.  This allows you to change the details for the top file and when you press enter all the files are updated.  I prefer this method.  I hate to say it is similar to WMP but this was one of the things I always preffered in WMP.  I find it much more intuitive...

there is also a bug in it.

If You Have A Field You Wish To Change and you select maybe 10 files if the first file you select is correct, it will not change the files below it.

at least thats what i have seen.

True, that bug does exist but to overcome it I usually set the first field to blank then to what I want.  A coupla extra clicks but still quicker than entering all the data separately...
