Is there a lock down mode?
« on: July 10, 2006, 03:46:15 pm »

Is there a way to give someone access to my library but not let them make changes to the files.  My brother has J. Rivers Media Center and I want to give him access to my library.  I don't want him to be able to rename/remove/add any files to the server.  How can I lock down the library while still giving him access to it?

If he uses Library Server to access the library, then he can only change Last Played and Number of Plays (by playing a track). All other changes are only visible on the client until it reloads the server library.
