I'm having trouble burning AAC files.  I can listen to them just fine, I just can't seem to burn them. 

I get this error message when I try to burn an audio CD including an m4a file:

Failed to play (full path of the m4a file).
You may not have installed on your computer DirectShow filters for decoding the type of file you are trying to play.
Please install appropriate filters and try again.

It's a confusing error message, seeing as I'm not trying to play the file, and seeing as if I were trying to play it it would play just fine.

Ideas?

I'm actually posting this question for my friend, who is having the above-mentioned difficulty.  It works fine on my machine.  I think the difference is that she uses quicktime to play AAC files and I use ffdshow.  Is that the only solution?  Install ffdshow?  Does quicktime need to be uninstalled first?  (She doesn't want to uninstall quicktime because she also uses itunes for some reason.)

The best filters I found are "MP4 Splitter" and "FFDShow".
You should install both of them. They are both free and work great.

With this filters, my MC11.1 is wonderfil for my files *.m4a

Install the mentioned "MP4 Splitter" and "FFDShow" filters. You don't need to uninstall QuickTime. If you have aac files with the .mp4 filename extension you need to rename the files to .m4a or enable this option too: Tools > Options > Playback > DirectShow playback settings...> Try using DirectShow for playback of mp4 media.
