Newbie Question 1 - last.fm
« on: March 09, 2008, 04:13:59 am »

I would like to move over to J River Media Centre from Windows Media Player, but one of the things I use is the last.fm plug in that sends details of the tracks I've listened to to www.last.fm.  Whilst the plug in is installed in MC it only appears to work if I actually have the last.fm plug in up on the MC screen, it does not appear to record the track history if I am looking at any other part of MC - is this how it supposed to work or have I missed something?

If you haven't done it, try the latest build from the top of this board.  Use the last.fm plug-in that is included.  The one that was (may still be?) on their site had issues.

Version 452 has the last.fm plugin fix I made.  So that could be a few days before that is seen here.

I can't get the last.fm plugin to do anything.  I've turned the plugin on and entered my password, but tracks don't even show up as having played using build .468

What sort of audio files are you listening to.
If m4a, you may have the same issue I had a while back

I have the same question.  I enabled the last.fm plugin and entered my user name and password.  I left the file types alone because my files are all mp3s.  I would like to limit the scrobbling to certain playlists instead of the tens of thousands of files on my server, but would be happy at this point with seeing any activity at all.  Even when I told it to run the plugin when MC starts, it does NOTHING.  Where are the files?  There's nothing on this in the Wiki, of course.
