Can you explain why Windows Media Player can instantly read the track and album info and MC15 can't on a consistent basis?
Finding the meta data for a CD is a matter of a good internet database.
How it is done is explained in detail here:
http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/TG/database.htmlThe problem with classical music is that it is not pop music.
Indeed it is not popular so the changes to find the CD in a Internet database like YADB or FreeDB are lower compared with pop music.
The reason WMP finds it is because they use AMG, a paid database and very good (and consistent ) in classical music.
I’m afraid tagging is one of the very few weak spots of MC.
YADB is to small and FreeDB to inconsistent to tag classical music properly.
I’m a MC fan boy so much to my chagrin I must admit that both the database (AMG) and the functionality of WMP (manual lookup) in case of tagging are superior to MC.
