Problems when streaming mkv files
« on: November 29, 2010, 05:16:22 pm »

Hi there!

I have a problem when streaming mkv files on my Philips TV: The video and audio are stuttering all few seconds. I do not think it's the network connection (100/1000 Gbit). Can it be that it comes to problems with on-the-fly-encoding?

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz with 4GB RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium (64Bit).

I also have the CCCP codec pack installed. Are there any known problems to fix with a variety of settings?

I want to buy the product when it is running smoothly!

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english ;)

Thanks!
Greetings, Zeebo

Welcome to the forum.  Another user, jmone, has reported something similar and provided some clues about h264 playback.  Please take a look at his conversation with our dev, Bob.

Please don't apologize about your English.  It's easy to understand.

I'm sorry.  It's on a non-public part of the forum.  It may be public in a few more days.

Oh, I'll probably still waiting.
Hopefully within the next 10 days, because then will expired the trial version :)

Best regards,
Zeebo!

Try the next version when it becomes available (>15.0.159). Set the DLNA server video conversion option to "never convert". If it doesn't play, try "always convert" and try the various MPEG2 conversions options. The DVD stream option and the High bandwidth option would be good bets...
