newbie question auto organise folders
« on: November 07, 2014, 12:48:13 pm »

Hi everybody I'm currently evaluating MC having used Musicbee for quite a while. It is a superb programme but doesn't support DLNA which I now want. MC looks very promising but I have some questions.
Musicbee could auto organise new files. This means a group of mp3's making up an album would automatically be put in a folder bearing the album name and then that folder would be put in a folder bearing the artists name or one would be created if it didn't exist. A very useful process for keeping tabs on the physical layout of your collection. So can MC do this please? :)

You may not need to keep files physically organized on the disk with MC, but you can move them according to tags.  See the option called "Rename, Move and Copy" under Tools  > Library Tools.
