I had been able to play audio and video from JRiver on my TV without problem. The connection is Surface Pro 2 (Windows 10), Ethernet from docking station-> router, Ethernet from router->bluray, HDMI from bluray->TV.
My bluray shows up in JRiver in the Now Playing tree and the JRiver icon and my Surface appear on the TV screen from the bluray along with a list of my music by artist and album, and my videos, but, when I try to play them using the bluray remote, I get these error messages on the TV:
For audio: "There is no playable file"
For video" "The file is corrupt or unplayable"
My audio and video are stored on an external hard drive connected to the Surface docking station and I am able to play both on the Surface and the external monitor connected to the docking station, as well as audio on my stereo.
As I said, it was working fine as I was using it above and I have made no changes in my system. I have spent hours trying to figure this out and have searched the forums and the internet for a solution.
I have no problem playing audio to my stereo, connection same as above except router to Squeezebox Touch through Ethernet.
I hope I have included all relevant information. I am not completely clueless, but I am not, by any stretch, fully conversant in technical matters, so I would appreciate any help in the most simplistic terms, please. Any help is greatly appreciated.
