Continuous Playing of CD's
« on: February 04, 2003, 05:35:34 am »

I have MJ8 and cannot play any more than one CD track at a time.  Other than that, it runs perfectly.  I've set/unset every switch I can find to no avail.

I did read somewhere that EasyCD Creator interfered with MJ 8, so I uninstalled both, and reinstalled EasyCD first, followed by MJ8.  No joy.

Any ideas?

Are you selecting all the tracks and then pressing play?

Any detail might help.

Make sure no other audio software is lurking in the background.

:D
I do not know what I did, but all's working well now.  I changed some setting, but am not sure what one.  I can also now use Digital Playback where before I could not get any sound.

A little more poking around has proven to me that in the device settings, if I force IDE rather than use automatic, everything is fine.  If I use automatic selection of device type, I get the same response as if I check ASPI - it plays one tune only, and hangs (doesn't show that it stopped but continues playing blank air).

Again, forcing IDE did the trick and I am well satisfied with MJ8.
