HI,
i have a licenced MC 22 - in fact i'm licenced since MC19 - on WINDOWS.
As i bought a MacBook last month, i wanted to buy a licence for MC.
So, on my Windows MC22, i clicked on " Upgrade to Master licence "
i paid 15.98 $, but the only thing i got is an upgrade to MC23 on Windows
The licence key i received did not work for my MC22 trial on Mac : it said " this licence is not for your product" or something like that ...
So, i had to come on this Forum to get the right way to follow to upgrade to MC23 Master licence at 22.98 $....
and the i got the Master licence MC23 on Mac , but not on Windows .....

It means i have paid twice - the first 15.98 $ was useless -

IT would be really appreciated if u were kind enough to understand that i did not commit any personal mistake
and pay me back the 15.98 $ of the windows MC23 upgrade.

If you paid $15.98, you must have purchased a Windows upgrade. You should receive an e-mail tomorrow about how to fix this.

Make sure you have downloaded and installed the most recent build of JRiver Media Center 22 from our site. It will work with an MC23 Master License.

I was running the last MC 22 Windows version 22.0.97 when i tried upgrading to Master license that only upgraded me to Windows MC23
But after having paid for the MC23 upgrade Master license, i still see " Upgrade to Master License " on the Windows MC22 , which is not the case on my MC22 MAC version - There, i see JRiver Media Center 22.22.0.93 ( registered Master license ) -
Waiting for your answer concerning the double purchase fix.

There is a bug in MC that I previously reported that apparently has not been fixed. Attempting to upgrade to a Master License directly from within MC does not work correctly, and you get no warning that you are about to buy the wrong item.

I hope you are able to get a refund for this.

I bought an Id in October. While it's not working perfectly (I can use it fine with my Win10 client, but not wirelessly with my iPhone), I now have a question about upgrading from MC22 to MC23. I assume that Win and Mac don't apply anymore (since the Id is neither), or would I simply be upgrading my Win client software (in which case I choose the Windows upgrade)?

I am still waiting your answer for the refund of 15.98 $ concerning my DOUBLE PURCHASE ( 15.98 $ and 22.98 $ ) caused by the bug in Windows MC 22.0.97 when you attempt to upgrade to a Master License directly from within MC and you only get an upgrade to MC23 Windows.

In spite of having a valid registration for MC21 and not only a remembered the licence key but I got restore, when trying to upgrade to MC23, in fact what I got was MC22, I was not recognized and had to pay the full $49.98 and still i am in C22; your Upgrading instructions afre deplorable

Please write deanna at jriver with details of your purchase.

The instructions tell you that this is a "pre-order" and that MC23 will be available in the summer. The MC23 license also works with recent versions of MC22.

You said i should receive an e-mail on April 27th about the refund ... but until today May 1st, nothing : why ?
The fault is not on my side - the bug has been pointed out earlier as a customer said on this page but not fixed -
This is not very professional and it can discourage to preorder upgrades.

An email was sent to you, separate from the forum, advising that we would issue a refund on 27-April for the Windows upgrade. A credit was issued to your account for $15.98 on 27-April. I will re-send my original email to your email address for the forum as well as your email address for the purchase. Please advise if you cannot confirm the credit to your account.

Hi I have the 22 on a Mac. Problem being I'm intending to run it on an elderly Mac Pro which I think is running on snow leopard. JRiver doesn't seem to want to play on this particular hook up which is a shame. If that could be resolved it would make life so much easier.

Usually the plans are hammered out as the development progresses, it's hard to say what will be included. They did post plans for MC22, but some of them weren't complete during the MC22 cycle (not sure if they'll all carry over to MC23's development cycle or not). Not sure if they'll post another plans for MC23 topic or not.

My guess would be another features requests topic and another too easy topic will be created again at some point.

We've been giving out MC23 licenses for new purchases for quite a while already, you can check your confirmation email, it would've said 23 if you were in that timeframe. I don't remember from the top of my head when this was switched over.

try the full feature 30day free trial of MC22 it's free. no need to delete 19 just don't run them at the same time...use a libary back up from 19 and restore it in 22

I have checked with my credit card company and nothing has reached them. Is there something else I can do as I want to take advantage of the early bird offer?

Good morning,

I purchased a MC23 Master License last night. I was on my Macbook Pro when I did this. I have 3 other computers to upgrade (all of them Windows machines).

I am confused as you say that MC23 will be out "this summer" but also say that the MC23 license will work with MC22.

Didn't get the exact message but the Mac said it was upgraded. Even after a reboot on the Mac, the "Registration Info" window shows version 22.22.0.88 (registered Master License).

I have only checked one other pc (pretty new Win 10 desktop). When I openedf JRiver, I believe it did an "update". After a reboot, the "Registration Info" window shows version 22.22.0.105 (registered Master LIcense).

It seems that the version eventually changed on the all computers but it did not happen when I upgraded or after several reboots as I recall.

Do I need to do anything now?

Also, would like to be directed to the "planned" MC23 upgrades/changes. I am 99% primarily focused on audio but interested in the video updates as well.

Not quite sure what the problem is....

I bought master license upgrade on Saturday. I was unsure if I had windows license (only) or master license. But the system let me do the master license upgrade ( and I presumed it would not if I had the windows version only).

I Installed the newest windows version no problem.

I downloaded the Mac version but got a "this license is not good for this version" or similar. Thus, I am now presuming I had only Windows license even the website allowed me to purchase master license upgrade.

If this is correct:

Can a Windows License be upgraded to a Master license?

If so what is cost?
If not, can you refund the overcharge (Master License charge - Windows License Charge) to my MasterCard and reset counter of installs to 19 as the attempted Mac install apparently used up an install.

I presume you can get appropriate information on me from my user name.

Just a clarification...

I bought a master license for the windows and linux capabilities. Used both platforms, but bought in to the IdPi (which I'm happy I did.)

I read that my IdPi will upgrade to the new platform MC23 which I will double check.

So going forward, I still need a windows upgrade, but not a linux?

Can I switch to a windows only or will the master license be needed in the future for both?

Windows 10 standard user (not admin).

Had MC21 for many months. Paid for 21 to 22 master upgrade many months ago and applied license to MC21.

Installed MC22 today. Registration info says MC 22.... and Master License. Paid for Master upgrade to MC23 ($22...).

Applying the MC23 mjr results in what looks like an assertion failed - "Class not registered". See attached.

I then get a jriver messsage box stating the license was applied, but no change to registration info.

Is my installation Ok? The assertion Ok to ignore?

No it's included 32 or 64 either one but 64 only work on 64 machine

I have tried the upgrade and after providing my license I get the 26.95 without the $5 reduction.. Its not the 17th yet... My key is from MC20
