iPod Plugin
« on: May 31, 2003, 08:51:14 pm »

Bought an iPod yesterday, plugged it in, followed the directions on the ipod page posted here and everything works great.  Is there any reason to install the ipod plugin and if I do what advantages are there to using it?

They've been improving the synchronization features in the recent plug-ins.  Unless you need those features, stick with the one you've got since it works for you.  My 2cents.

Well I was curious and tried to use the plugin, BIG MISTAKE, evertime I tried to access my ipod via MC it would  crash, tried reinstalling the plugin, didn't work, still crashed, finally I had to do a complete unistall of MJ to get it to access my ipod without crashing.

Please use the iPod support thread here.

If you have trouble, reading the thread is a good place to start.  Don't miss Adam's instructions in the first link there.
