Cannot restore licence
« on: November 05, 2019, 11:01:42 am »

I unistalled because it doesn't play with any USB driver I try.

This is the error message I get:

==================================================
Something went wrong with playback.

Details:
playback could not be started on the output: 'ASIO' using the format 44.1 kHz 2ch.

The ASSIO device 'AKDesign USB' does not support the sample rate of 41000 Hz
==================================================

Now, I uninstalled in order to reinstall but for some reason my code is not valid
and I'm asked to purchase (again).

I sent a message to Helpdesk but got no answer.
Also cannot find support email.
This is really annoying...

Please advise.

Tnx.

I got an email without restore key attached, after trying at Restore Page.
Still cannot install.

I've managed to install just by pressing Continue. Didn't understand correctly
the msg box.

But now I'm stuck with the same original problem. It won't play with any USB driver
I try. Always the same error msg. For example

********************
Something went wrong with playback.

Details:
playback could not be started on the output: 'ASIO' using the format 44.1 kHz 2ch.

The ASSIO device 'AKDesign USB' does not support the sample rate of 41000 Hz
********************

The USB ports works fine. The DAC is locked on 44.1kHz. So it must be a software problem, not hardware.

It's probably some PC settings. Can you help?

Do you have remote control assistance?

This is where we do all support.

For a different problem, start a new topic with a subject that describes the problem.

The error message is probably correct.  Use MC's DSP Studio > Output Settings to force the format to whatever works.

There's also a possibility if you're using the 64-bit version of Media Center 25 that you need to use the 32-bit version of Media Center 25 instead. This may happen if the ASIO driver is 32-bit only, which won't work with a 64-bit apps like if for example you're using the 64-bit version of Media Center 25. If you are using the 64-bit build, I'd recommend uninstalling it and installing the 32-bit build and using that instead. :)

EDIT: I took a very quick look at the ASIO driver .exe and .dll files for the AKDesign USB drivers, and it looks like they're 32-bit only.

It was 64 bit version.

When re-installing with my registration key I get the following message (like before):

**************************************
Your license file is not valid for Media Center.

Do you want to purchase an upgrade?
**************************************

I press "no" and then appears a dialogue box with Purchase / Continue options.
I choose Continue and the installation is completed.

What does this msg mean? Obviously something is wrong.
And what is this upgrade?

Also, I still can't play with USB drivers. Same error msg as above.

Do you need my license key to check?

You need to install the version that matches your license.  You have an MC22 license.  Please see "Old Versions" on our wiki.

Installed Media Center 22.0.110. This is the version I had.

The problem persists. Same error msg for all USB drivers.
