When adding playlists to theater view, if the Root of All Playlists is added anywhere other than the top roller (like under Music/Audio) then the order of tracks on the playlists therein is not respected. Track order for playlists IS respected if Root of All Playlists is added at the top roller in theater view.

Also, when adding playlists somewhere other than the top roller, playlist track order is respected IF AND ONLY IF they are added as a playlist group that is a child of the Root of All Playlists.

The consequence of this is if you want your playlists at the top level (at the root, not in sub-folders) in standard view, then you cannot have their sequence maintained in theater view unless you put them on the theater view top roller.

Just to follow-up here as well, Derek sent a backup and I've fixed the glitch for the next build.  We were consolidating some of our string plus number usage for translation recently and that one got messed up.  Thanks!

The fading/transition in image slideshows does not seem to work smoothly.  It sometimes presents a reduced-size version of the previous image in the center of the screen during the fade.  This manifests as a discolored rectangle in the center of the screen and is distracting.

This is not a newly introduced issue, but it does exist in the current version...

Sidecar files not updated completely when using Rename/Move/Copy Files to rename.

If you use RMCF to rename a file that has a sidecar file (like a video), then the file is correctly renamed, the thumbnail image file is renamed to match (if applicable), and the sidecar files itself is renamed to match.  That's great.

HOWEVER, the Filename field INSIDE the sidecar file is not updated. It still points to the old file name which no longer exists.

This can be corrected by immediately doing an "Update tags from library" (if the user knows to do it) but I think it's bad behavior and should be fixed so that the filename field inside the sidecar file is correct after the rename.

I'm afraid I have another one, sorry.

When building a view for JRemote/Gizmo/Panel, and adding a category level that is an Expression, the EXPRESSION TO DISPLAY field is NOT honored if the category level is at the bottom of the stack.

To work around, you can add an additional dummy category level at the bottom of the stack, with the expression to display and expression to group by both blank.

Expression to Display is important functionality, so a fix would be very much appreciated.

It depends, when did you purchase the license? Unless I'm mistaken, licenses purchased since October 2019 are MC26 licenses (which also work in the latest MC25 builds). However, licenses sold before that are likely only for MC25, I'm sure Jim or somebody else from JRiver could tell you if you have a MC26 license or not.

Should be fixed next build.  I found a typo in the option, but it turned out the typo was there twice and I only got it once on the first try.

Is that is Standard View or Theatre View?

I ask because in Standard View the command is under "Player > More Stop > Stop After Current File" rather than as above, but that could just be a typo.

In Theatre View there is another fix coming for this:

Anyway, the function works for me correctly in MC26.0.40.

Selecting "Player > More Stop > Stop After Current File" or Ctrl+Shift+S sets the flag (tick next to function) to stop after the current file, and when it does stop it advances to the next file correctly.

In Theatre View setting "Stop After Current File" (renamed from "Stop After Playing Track") also works correctly.

If it isn't working for you now, I'm wondering if some other setting is interfering with the function.


What doesn't work correctly is right-clicking a playing file in Playing Now and selecting "More Play Options > Stop After Playing Track". That doesn't set the tick next to function under "Player > More Stop > Stop After Current File" and while playback stops, it doesn't advance to the next file.

So that is something that still needs to be fixed.

Yes, it was a typo, you quoted the command properly.

I do have the option to "Remove file after playing" selected.
I did select the STOP option from the top bar menu, not by right-clicking the file.

Nevermind.

With "Remove file after playing" selected the "Stop After Current File" isn't working correctly.

If you are starting at the first file, MC skips a file as you say, highlighting the second file after removing the played file.

If you then start playback again on the highlighted second file, MC doesn't skip a file, but jumps around a bit when it removes the played file, and leaves the first unplayed file from above in place. So the new second file in Playing Now is highlighted.

Needs some work.
