This probably won't help either: Did you tell TiVo your IP address?
FWIW I had to give TiVo my server's IP address to get connected after I upgraded from 9.0.146 to 9.0.147, whereas with 9.0.146 TiVo detected the server. In both cases I had TiVo beacon off.
