JRVR video playback issue
« on: July 10, 2023, 08:03:34 am »

Hi everyone

I've recently upgraded my PC with a brand new motherboard (Asus rog strix B650I) and amd 7800x3d CPU while keeping my Nvidia RTX 3060. I've also reinstalled Windows 11 (22H2) with the latest Nvidia driver version. My video MC config is based on JRVR with video hardware decoder assistance.

As soon as I play a video, I can hear the sound track but I have a black window/screen. If I display the task manager while playing, I can see the GPU decoder activity (around 30 percent) but the player window remains black.

Please note that my antivirus and my firewall are off.

I have no problem with madVR + hardware decoding nor with JRVR + software video decoder.

It is very embarrassing cause my  PC is noisy with software hevc video decoder.

Please note also that I had no problem with my very old PC based on Intel core 3770 (same windows 11 / Nvidia card / driver config).

Could you help me please ?

Thanks

Turn off hardware decoding.

It may be an NVIDIA problem.
