Can I install on another PC
« on: January 22, 2003, 05:31:16 pm »

Hi,
I purchased Media Center 9.0 about two months ago. Since that time I have purchased an additional desktop. I want to know if the software can be also run on my other pc. I found the following post on this forum:

Q: Can I install on more than one PC?
A: During the two-week period after you have purchased or restored, you can use the install key you received to activate the plus features of Media Jukebox on your other PC’s.

I was not aware there was only a two week period.

Just use a restore.  Take the Registration Code you received from buy-button @ jriver.com and go to the Restore Page.

Hi Jim,
I have version 9.0 on my computer and love it. When I download 8.0 from the media jukebox site on my additional computer and I do the restore with the button info will it be converted to 9.0?
Thank in advance!         Mike

8.0.394 from our downloads page will work with a V9 license.

Hi Jim,
Sorry to trouble you again. I have downloaded version 8.0.394 to my second computer. I have launched the program which is the trial version. I have then entered the button registration number manually at the restore site; states it cannot find the license.
I then launched the registration 15610 file I got when I originally paid for the software and I get a window which states there is an error in installing the license.
Any further help would be appreciated. Mike

Mistake in entry?  Try a copy and paste.

Thanks Jim,
It accepted the registration code this time. I thought you said it would be upgraded to Media Center 9.0 when I loaded up the license. It is still showing 8.0.394.

I have saved on my other computer, in my download folder the following:
MediaJukebox9    is about 9.4mb
MediaCenter9      it's also about 9.4mb
Can I just move one of these files to the new computer and launch it. Or is there a simpler method to convert to 9.0.                                  Mike
Thanks for hanging in there with me!

you need to download Version 9.0.102 and install it on that computer for it to be upgraded.

or

if you still have the orginal MJ9 download you can move that file to your laptop\second computer and install it.

he only ment your MJ8 would be registered on that computer.
